bird photography : chipping sparrow

One of the features that really drew us to Chateau Papillon when we were house-shopping was the back yard, which abutted a local Fairfax County park, and between that and the many natural gardening efforts we've undertaken, Beth and I have been well-rewarded with a plethora of wild birds in the back yard, including many Chipping Sparrows like this one, pictured picking through the leaf mulch and dropped seed husks beneath one of our feeding stations.
