bird photography : killdeer

The Killdeer that John and Beth had spotted in Huntley Meadows the previous Sunday afternoon were still around for their early-morning bird walk, allowing John to get several excellent photographs showing their bright red eyes as they picked their way across the muddy ground. A moment later, a pair of Mallards chased away this Killdeer and its companion--greedy ducks!
