bird photography : eastern song sparrow

John took advantage of the ten inches of snowfall from a nor'easter that blew through the Washington area to go out and capture photos of several birds against the white backdrop of snow. At Huntley Meadows in Fairfax County, VA, he photographed this Eastern Song Sparrow taking a break from forraging for food amidst the snow-covered grasses and wetlands.
